Paul N. Gold

Paul N. Gold is a partner at Aversano & Gold, Houston, Texas. He is Board-Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and is Board-Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocates. Paul graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with high honors and obtained his law degree from Southern Methodist University. He has been practicing for 45 years and during that time has obtained numerous recoveries over $10,000,000.00. Paul focuses on product liability, wrongful death, traumatic brain injuries, burns, paralysis, and other life-altering injuries sustained through medical malpractice, truck wrecks, and premises & workplace accidents all over Texas.

Paul is an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has received the AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell. He is a Fellow of the State Bar of Texas College of the State Bar. He is a Sustaining Member of The American Association for Justice and a member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. Past President of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. He was a member of the Vol. 2 (Medical Malpractice, Product Liability, and Premises Liability) Pattern Jury Charge Committee from 1984 to 1988.

 

Paul has served as a Director of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association (2000-2018) and received the Director of the Year in 2010. He is a Director and Sustaining Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and was honored with the John Howie Award for Mentorship in 2009. Paul was also the 2007 recipient of the State Bar of Texas Gene Cavin Award for outstanding contributions to continuing legal education in Texas, and the 2010 recipient of the Dan R. Price Award by the Texas Bar Foundation for excellence and contributions to continuing legal education in Texas. In 2010 he received the College of the State Bar of Texas Jim D. Bowmer Professionalism Award. He has been voted a Super Lawyer by his peers every year since the inception of the designation in 2003 (2003—present). He has been selected as a member of Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury (2013—present) and was selected by his peers for recognition in the U.S. News & World Report as Best Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in Houston for 2019.

 

Paul is most proud of the fact that notwithstanding professional recognition and his success as a trial attorney for 46 years, he has been married to the same incredible woman for 49 years, has two happy and successful children, four phenomenal grandchildren, and two extraordinary Golden Retrievers—BoBo and Callie.
