Donna M. Aversano
Donna M. Aversano, a distinguished partner at Aversano & Gold, brings a wealth of expertise to her specialty areas of medical malpractice, anesthesia errors, and brain injury. A proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, Donna's academic journey began with a B.A. in History in 1987, followed by her pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. Her commitment to justice and advocacy was cemented by obtaining her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1992.

Before joining Aversano & Gold, Donna served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas, where she honed her skills in defending healthcare providers against medical malpractice lawsuits. Transitioning from her role with the State of Texas, Donna’s practice now focuses on prosecuting medical negligence and various complex personal injury cases, leveraging her deep understanding of both the healthcare system and legal processes. She has a special interest in traumatic and acquired brain injury, particularly in anesthesia malpractice and birth trauma cases.

Beyond the realm of legal advocacy, Donna's service extends to the welfare of animals, particularly the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats. Her dedication to animal rescue has saved the lives of thousands. She supports and volunteers with CAMO Rescue, a no-kill, not-for-profit animal rescue organization.

Donna also undertakes the noble task of transporting dogs she has fostered to their forever homes nationally. Though her menagerie of personal pets does not accompany her on these rescue missions, they remain constant loyal and loving companions in Donna's life.

Donna and her spouse of 30 years are both ardent Dachshund lovers. They also enjoy world travel, hiking, and Native American Art.
